Never cooked before? That’s cool, hopefully I’ll be able to help you with that by giving some super easy recipes that are easy to do and that you’ll actually want to eat. Ok, without further ado, here’s a tasty recipe for garlic fries.
- 4 large unpeeled russet potatoes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced (What the hell is minced? Find out)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup + 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Wash the potatoes and cut into 1/4 –inch strips, leaving the skin on. Place the potatoes in a mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Add garlic and salt. Toss until evenly coated. Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty, make sure all the potatoes are coated. Spread the potatoes onto a baking sheet in a single layer (I used foil to cover my baking sheet, but you don’t have to. Makes for easier clean up though!). Save the remaining oil in the bowl.
Bake for 30 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through baking. Return the fries to the bowl with the olive oil and sprinkle with 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese and the parsley. Toss to coat, then spread again onto the baking sheet. Return to the oven, and bake until the Parmesan cheese melts (about 10 minutes). Sprinkle the fries with the remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese to serve.
